What's included in Praxis Starter?
Extended profile content (focus areas, self-description), online booking with calendar integration, GDPR-compliant video sessions, hybrid practice with separate online and in-person hours, payment processing via Stripe, compliant invoicing — single sessions or several on one invoice — and the verified seal with booking CTA for your practice website. Plus everything in Basis Profile: directory profile, SEO visibility, clickable trust badge, contact requests by email.
Does Kaufmann Health replace my accounting or tax tool?
No — and it doesn't have to. Keep your Lexoffice or DATEV for the tax office. Kaufmann Health takes care of everything between you and your client: booking, video, the session itself, and the invoice. No double entry, no extra data silo.
Do I have to connect my calendar?
No. There are two paths: connect your Google or iCloud calendar so busy times are blocked automatically — or use the portal without any connection: set your weekly hours right there, or open just the individual slots you want to offer. You can switch anytime.
I work mostly in person — is Kaufmann Health still a fit?
Yes. Online booking, reminders, client management and invoicing work just the same when your sessions happen in your practice. Clients simply pick the format you offer when they book — in person, online, or both. Video is there when you need it, and stays out of the way when you don't.
What about clients I bring in myself?
They're 100% yours. We earn nothing from your clients — whether you bring them in yourself or they found you through our directory. No commission, no platform tax, no hidden fees. You can manage them through our software (booking, video, payment) or continue outside the platform — whichever works better for you.
How does payment processing work?
Your clients pay easily by card, Apple/Google Pay, or SEPA. Stripe's standard fees (see stripe.com/en/pricing — typically ~1.5–3% + €0.25 per transaction) are deducted from your payout — no KH markup; you pay the same as you would with your own Stripe account. KH itself takes 0% commission on your clients. Bank transfer or cash remain available whenever you arrange it directly. Once a client has agreed to card saving during an online payment, you can also charge that saved card for follow-up sessions directly from the portal — the receipt goes out automatically.
Do I need a credit card to try Praxis Starter?
No. You create your profile, we review it, then your 30-day trial starts — with no payment details at all. You only add a payment method once you actively decide to stay after the trial. If the trial ends without you deciding, nothing is charged and nothing is deleted — your profile data stays intact and you can switch over later anytime.
How long am I committed?
Cancel monthly. No minimum term, no setup fee. You need no credit card for either the Basis Profile or the Praxis Starter trial. Switch between tiers anytime.
Can I upgrade to Pro later?
Yes. When Praxis Pro launches, you can upgrade seamlessly as a Starter customer — no data loss, no reconfiguration. Pro is currently in development; join the waitlist and we'll reach out personally at launch.
When is Praxis Pro coming?
Praxis Pro launches with Heilpraktiker compliance as the spearhead: PKV-reimbursable invoices with GebüH itemization, structured session notes, and custom intake questionnaires. In development (order shaped in dialogue with Pro waitlist practitioners): couples therapy with seat-based booking and per-participant reminders, co-therapy mode (two therapists + two clients) closing a real gap in the market, workshop pages with public registration and series-based billing, AI dictation for session notes, booking portal on your own domain, flexible no-show billing. Which practitioners do you accept?
Two qualification levels: (1) Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie, psychological psychotherapists, or other licensed practitioners specialized in body-oriented methods; (2) certified body psychotherapy practitioners with solid training in NARM, Somatic Experiencing, Hakomi, or Core Energetics. Both groups are labeled clearly on the platform.
How are you different from other platforms?
Three things: (1) We're exclusively specialized in body psychotherapy — clients searching for NARM, SE, Hakomi, or Core Energetics land directly with you. (2) We earn nothing from your clients — 0% commission, always, on every client. Platforms like It's Complicated take 5% on every session, forever. (3) Built for German Heilpraktiker requirements — GDPR-compliant video today, PKV-reimbursable invoices with GebüH itemization with Pro. Not generic US software you have to retrofit for German law.
Does a paid tier get me a better directory ranking?
You can't buy placement — we don't offer premium listings on purpose. The directory ranks by how easy you make it for clients to find and book you: an active calendar with open slots and a complete, expressive profile rank higher, because that's what clients search for and those profiles get booked more often. Praxis Starter unlocks both — you earn visibility through a better experience for your clients, you don't buy it.
Can your scheduling tool handle workshops and groups, or only 1:1 sessions?
Starter gives you a permanent video room that's yours — share the link with your group, your workshop participants, or your supervision circle. We provide the room; invitations, reminders, and coordination stay in your hands outside the platform. For booked group sessions with seat management, per-participant reminders, and public workshop registration pages, that's the Pro tier — currently in development with the waitlist. If workshops or groups are core to your practice, join the Pro waitlist and tell us how you run them; your input shapes what we ship first.
What about couples therapy or co-therapy sessions?
Couples therapy and co-therapy (two therapists with two clients — a real gap most platforms don't address) are explicit Pro features in development. Both need seat-based booking, per-participant reminders, and dual-therapist scheduling — not quite trivial, so we're building them in dialogue with the Pro waitlist rather than shipping a half-solution in Starter. In the meantime, your Starter video room works for ad-hoc couples sessions you book outside the platform.
I'm renewing my current scheduling tool soon — what do I need to know before switching?
The honest checklist: (1) Cancel your old subscription only after the Starter onboarding call — we'll walk through your availability rules together; (2) Calendar integration (Google, iCloud, Outlook) takes about 5 minutes; (3) Existing clients can keep booking by email or through the new system — your call; (4) Your KH profile and the directory listing are live within days, not weeks; (5) Cancel monthly if it doesn't work for you — no minimum term. Do you promote my practice with Google Ads?
Not actively across all practices anymore. We learned that paid advertising doesn't add up at scale — and we want to be honest: visibility here comes organically through the directory, your own SEO, referrals, and a strong profile. That's exactly what Kaufmann Health is built for. How do you handle my data?
Your information is used exclusively to provide our services. No analytics cookies. Just a minimal conversion signal to Google Ads.
What is the free practice page, and how does it get filled?
It's a public page on Kaufmann Health, built from your own answers to guided questions — about your approach, who you work with, and what a first conversation feels like. The page is live from day one and grows with every answer; nothing on it is AI-written. Practical questions like fees or online vs. in person are answered automatically from your profile details. On the Basis tier it's free.
How do the free intro requests work?
Someone who finds your practice page can send a request with a preferred time window. You confirm it — nothing is automatic, and nothing lands in your calendar until you say yes. Once you confirm, it's a free 15-minute video call to see whether you're a fit.
